Day 01: Arrival in Paro and drive to Thimphu (50 Km/1 hr.)
Upon arrival, meet representative and transfer to the capital, Thimphu. After lunch, among others, visit the site of the world’s biggest Buddha statue and get acquainted with Thimphu city. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 02: Thimphu sightseeing
Visit Memorial Stupa, Takin Sanctuary, Zilukha Nunnery, Traditional Art School, Indigenous Hospital, Textile Museum, handicraft workshops, Zangdopelri Temple, markets and other sights, if time permits, visit to Tashicho Dzong in the evening. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 03: Thimphu – Paro (50 Km/1 hr.)
Transfer to Paro. In Paro, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong, the ruins of Drugyal Dzong and the ancient Kichu Lhakhang temple. Overnight in Paro.
Day 04: Paro Sightseeing
Transfer to the trail-head north of Paro valley and hike to the famous Tiger Nest Monastery. Upon return, stroll through the town area and visit local villages.
Optional: Excursion to Chele la pass if you wish to skip the Takstang hike. Overnight in Paro.
Day 05: Paro - Departure
Transfer to Paro airport according to your flight schedule.
