Gandhi Nagar

Gandhi Nagar is located on the west coast of the Sabarmati River and 32km to the north of Ahmedabad, the name of this city is after the great freedom fighter and Father of The Nation of India, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. It is home to cultural heritage that provides an amazing climate and atmosphere.

Leave the hustle and bustle of your life behind and explore this city for peace. It is mostly known as the commercial and cultural heart of Gujrat, but it also offers a well-organized look of an architecturally integrated city. There are various eye-catching places in this city including rich cultural heritage, attractive temples, and a calm environment.

The top places range from Akshardham Temple (India's largest and most beautiful temple) to Craftsmen villages like Undhiyu to Khandvi. You can buy many local things. A small Khadi village offers traditional khadi clothes. It is now a tourist attraction where you can learn to make cloth from original wool.

Gandhi Nagar is also known as the Tree Capital of India as 54% of its land is covered with trees. This is why it is a great place for a long weekend holiday. You can visit extensive green parks and recreational areas as well.
