On arrival at Leh(Airport) you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your Leh City hotel. The evening is yours to enjoy having a leisurely stroll around your lodgings and acclimatizing yourself to the altitude.
Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (Leh Airport) lies in the heart of the Himalayan range, making it one of the highest and most scenic airports in the world due to the majestic surroundings.
After breakfast, proceed for full-day sightseeing. In the evening, you will return to Leh and spend the night there after enjoying all these wonderful sights.
Visit the beautiful town of Leh and its beautiful stopovers. Leh Palace stands out as one of them. These ruins of a 350-year-old, 9-story palace offer breathtaking views of Leh and the surrounding areas. The Leh Market differs remarkably from those in larger cities. Shops here are small, colorful, and lively. There is a rare mix of western and native cultures here, which makes it unique.
Furthermore, Leh has a diverse population, which is reflected in its infrastructure. Shanti Stupa, Jama Masjid, Zorawar Fort, Gurudwara Shri Pathar Sahib, and Magnetic Hill are all within 25 kilometers of Leh. The Indian Army's Hall of Fame is also within this radius. It is a monument dedicated to the soldiers who served, and/or perished, on the borders during the war.
It is incredible to view the Sangam (Confluence of Rivers) at the confluence of the Zanskar and the Indus. Its blue waters make for a stunning display of power.
After breakfast, Check out of your hotel and head toward Nubra Valley. To get to the Nubra Valley, one must pass through the Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft.), the 11th highest motorable road in the world. There is almost always fog and snow on this pass. Although it is bone-chillingly cold there, the unmatchable views that it offers of the Ladakh range make up for the chill. You will arrive in Nubra Valley after descending Khardung La.
Upon arrival, you'll first visit Diskit Monastery. This monastery is over 250 years old and is the oldest in Nubra Valley. An impressive 100-foot-tall statue of Buddha in its golden avatar stands nearby. From there, you will visit the sand dunes at Hunder. A world-famous double-hump camel ride is available here. These mammals are extremely rare and are found in merely a handful of places all over the world (the camel ride is on direct payment basis).
Afterwards, check into the camp & enjoy stargazing in the late evening. The clear air of Ladakh makes stargazing a pleasure.
After breakfast, Check out of your camp and head toward TSO Pangong. To reach Pangong Tso, tourists travel via Agham - Shyok Village - Durbuk - Tangste. The first view of the azure waters and shaky lakeshore of Tso Pangong remains etched in tourists' memories for a lifetime.
As the sun moves across it, Pangong Lake reveals changing hues. It's one of the bluest and clearest lakes you've seen so far, home to migratory birds like ducks and geese as well as rare and elusive birds like the Black-necked Crane. It will surprise you to learn that the lake lies only partially in India, with most of its length in China.
During the winter, the entire lake freezes to the point where you can walk over it. Upon arrival, you will check into the camp and spend the remainder of the evening walking around the lake.
After breakfast, check out of camp and proceed to Leh via Chang-La pass (17,585 ft.). Chang-La pass is the 10th highest motorable road in the world. On your return trip, you'll stop at Tso Ltak (16,102 feet), an unexplored lake at the foothills of Chang La.
Afterwards, proceed to Hemis Monastery, which originated in the 11th century. Hemis Monastery is one of the oldest and richest monasteries in Ladakh and is definitely a must-see when you are here on your Ladakh adventure. Explore Thiksey Monastery, which is located on the top of the hill. It is very famous for its similarities to Potala Palace of Lhasa. This monastery is famous for its pilgrim activities, architectural elements, sightseeing, and exploration.
Visit Druk Padma Karpo School, which you saw in the movie 'Three Idiots'. Visit Rancho's School and Rancho's Café, just outside the school. While you chew on crunchy snacks and drink coffee, it's possible to see memorabilia from the movies that are displayed in the café. From here, it's a non-stop drive to your hotel in Leh, and the rest of the evening is at your disposal.
We will take you to the airport at the start of the day so you can catch your flight to your next destination to mark the end of your Memorable Ladakh Tour.
